Flower Varieties:

 

Chamomile - This clasic German variety of Chamomile is perfect for making your own fresh tea. A short plant 1-2" tall, it bears countless little flowers that are aromatic and benifit everything around - pollinators, plants and humans alike! Harvest when flowers are bright white and yellow. Fresh flowers can be dried and stored for winter beverages. Will readily self-sow

 

Cosmo Psyche White - Lady bugs are attracted to white flowers, especially cosmos.These stuning white, 3" wide, sometimes double blooms really stand out. Ferny leaves and long stems makes this a superb cut flower. Blooms abundantly all summer long

 

Cosmo Tango - This non stop bloomer, blooms to 4' tall and wideproducing copious amounts of 1-2" wide, bright orange single petaled flowers. The flowers can also be used as a dye plant

 

Field Poppy - These cherry, red flowers bloom every year in the late spring/early summer. Bees love these flowers and the decorative seedheads and seeds can be added to baked goods. These poppies will re-seed each year

 

Mexican Torch -  This 5' tall, branching annual is covered in 4" wide flowers all summer long! Originating from Mexicoand Central America, this bold cut flower performs best in poor soil

 

Phacelia - Especially loved by bumble bees! This beautiful annual flower with lacy leaves can also be used as a summer cover crop.

 

Sunflower, Standfast - Perfect sunflower for eating with its 16" heads. This 5' plant produces seeds for snacking, oil and birdseed. Harvest when the stalk just below the flower head is brown and dry. Watch heads for mice and birds!

 

Zinnia Giant Coral - are known for their vibrant, large, and double-flowered blooms, with a coral hue. They grow 3-4 feet tall and have strong, sturdy stems, making them great for cut flowers. These zinnias are also known for their disease resistance and long vase life

 

 

About the Producer - 

 

Affinity farm, established in 2001, is on the northern edge of Moscow, Idaho, and proud to be Certified Organic by the State of Idaho. The seeds we grow are locally adapted and are all great for the inland northwest growing climate.

 

The farm consists of 2 people, 1 acre of land and a loyal community. We grow early spring greenhouse produce, bedding plants and a wide array of vegetables for the late summer farmers markets and seeds for the snake river seed co-op, a few other seed companies, as well as local sales at the farmers market.
